Airdrie Reading Specialist Private Reading & Writing Support (Preschool–Gr. 8)

Hi Airdrie families,
My name is Georgina, and I’m a certified Alberta teacher offering evidence-based reading and writing support on weekends here in Airdrie.

I hold a Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Education, and I'm currently completing my Master’s in Special Education (Reading, Writing, and Oral Language Disabilities) at the University of Alberta. My approach is grounded in the Science of Reading and Writing, and I focus on helping students build strong, confident literacy skills.

I support students from Preschool to Grade 8 with:

• Early literacy and phonological awareness

• Phonics, decoding, and reading fluency

• Spelling, sentence writing, and written expression

• Vocabulary and comprehension

• Challenges related to dyslexia, dysgraphia, or attention needs

Tutoring Options

One-on-One Tutoring: $80/hour
Structured, individualized sessions designed to build foundational reading and writing skills. All materials included.

Small Group Tutoring: $55 per student per hour (2–3 students)
Groups are matched by age or skill level for effective, targeted instruction.

Parent Support Sessions – $80/hour

For parents who want to learn how to support their child’s reading and writing at home using simple, research-backed strategies.
These sessions can include:

• How to help your child decode words

• How to support spelling using evidence-based routines

• How to build consistent, effective reading habits

• How to make home literacy practice easier and more successful

Optional Follow-Up Check-Ins: $30
